Farebrother’s approach to Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) procedures is of paramount importance. By the progressive moulding and changing of the cultural habits of our employees, suppliers and sub contractors we will continue to improve the approach to HS&E matters. Our high profile approach is recognised by Clients and industry governing bodies as well as audit companies alike and we are proud to be accredited to the highest standards.
Only by implementing and maintaining a zero tolerance approach are standards adhered to. The care that we take for our environment, colleagues, Clients and general public alike is testimony to the approach that we take not only in HS&E matters but also throughout the business as a whole.
Procedures are continually reviewed and audited under our ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation for total compliance and continual improvement reviews. Our ‘Health & Safety Executive Board’ which consists of in-house NEBOSH qualified professionals along with Farebrother Directors meets tri-annually to review progress and future plans.
Through the process of both internal and external training courses annually, all employees are trained to the highest standards and are suitably supported by robust Quality Assurance systems to aid implementation and monitoring. With the recording and the timely renewal of Personal Protective Equipment, specific standards are maintained along with corporate work wear that promotes Farebrother’s approach to the highest of standards.
Our professionally qualified HS&E staff are trained to deliver specific in-house training courses to recognised industry standards via annual “Train the Trainer” courses. In this way, Farebrother can respond to the ever changing dynamics of the industry anywhere in the UK, Europe or further a field to suit project needs.
Farebrother maintain that with a “Total Team” approach to the business, it is important that every employee is certified to the industry skill card CSCS accreditation scheme. Whether employees ever attend site or not, it is a Company mandate that everyone has an understanding of the Client’s and business needs. Farebrother is also accredited to carry out the necessary CSCS tests in-house.
By training all our team to industry standards we enable them to have a safety culture outside of the business in their home life, a factor that we believe is important for everyone.
Through a detailed ‘Supply Chain Database’, we assess and accredit every supplier and sub contractor against defined criteria that must match the exacting standards set by Farebrother. With these standards in place, Farebrother’s delivery will be ‘Incident and Injury Free’ and in line with its Client’s requirements for Health & Safety.
Farebrother will always look to improve the Health, Safety and well being of those people that we employ as well as those that we encounter in our daily work. Our approach and continual improvement process is recognised by the continual award of ROSPA Gold standards and Gold medal accreditations.
